Little did I know how soon I would need it. During a mountain bike trek on New Years morning I found myself broken down about 8 miles out on the Aqueduct trail. The rear shifter cable let loose and tangled up in the rear sprocket, spokes, and shifter. Now I am good and stuck 8 miles from home with a rear wheel that won't turn. The cable had wound through the spokes around the sprocket and had frozen up the wheel. Then I remembered my tool, which was faithfully clipped to my key chain. Using the regular screw driver, pliers, and shears, I was able to cut and remove the broken cable and ride home. Now, I only had one speed but I could roll instead of walk. Well worth the price of admission. I won't leave home without it. Thanks.
